Australian VR Network – June 2016 Meetup

Australia Virtual Reality Network (AVRN) is the country’s largest community of virtual reality (VR) developers and key individuals driving virtual reality innovation, with branches in all major cities including Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Canberra. banner 01 640w

The event will entail a discussion of the latest trends and the opportunity to experience and try out local projects running on the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR headset.

Perth games developer Nigel Budden will demo his upcoming Gear VR title “The Drowning Dungeons” and talk about his experience transitioning from development for traditional mobile platforms into the VR space.

AVRN South Australia Chair Daish Malani, who organises the Adelaide VR meetup, will appear via Skype to talk about how he’s using Leap Motion and Oculus Rift to treat stroke sufferers.
